Student Research Scholarship

The NSGC Awards Committee is excited to award a $200 scholarship to three genetic counseling students who are conducting thesis research related to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion or cultural humility issues in the genetic counseling profession.

To be considered for this scholarship, the applicant must meet the following qualifications:

  • The applicant must be a student enrolled in an ACGC accredited genetic counseling training program
  • The applicant must be a member of NSGC (or planning to join in 2024)

Please note that scholarship funds can only be used for reimbursable items and cannot be used for a student or staff salary/stipend, travel, food, or transcriptional services. 

Applications closed on July 7, 2024. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted. The winners will be chosen by early August 2024. The recipients will be notified after verification of enrollment has been established.
