Colleen Caleshu, ScM, CGC, from the Stanford Center for Inherited Cardiovascular Disease discussed this growing field during the annual scientific session and expo of the American College of Cardiology in Chicago. Caleshu said that while they may not be able to help whole families from losing a loved one to a sudden cardiac event they can take the knowledge they learn and help ensure the health and well being of other members of that family for the future.
