DESCRIPTION
Genetic counselors (GCs) have significant medical and psychosocial training during their academic education. However, business skills are not routinely taught in graduate school, and are necessary in clinical practice and industry (ie: creating budgets, marketing services, etc). Additionally, genetic counseling roles are evolving as many GCs create their own companies. We aim to provide GCs with foundational knowledge and skills in business to help them in practice and also in entrepreneurship.
