    NSGC Ceu Approval

    NSGC is an authorized provider of continuing education for genetic counselors. Continuing education units (CEUs) earned through NSGC educational opportunities will be accepted by the American Board of Genetic Counseling for purposes of Genetic Counselor recertification.

    Please review NSGC's Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Standards & Guidelines for Approval before submitting a Category 1 or 2 CEU Application. 

    Category 1 CEU Activity Application

    Are you organizing an educational conference, summit, or online course? Would you like to offer CEU credits for genetic counselors? Applying for Category 1 CEUs for your genetic counselors can increase your conference registration and add value to the course! The process is easy for both you and attendees.

    CONFERENCE ORGANIZERS PLEASE NOTE: Updates have been made to the Standards & Guidelines for Approval and the Category 1 CEU Application. Please make sure to fully review these documents prior to submitting your application to ensure that your conference is approved. 


    Category 2 CEU Activity Application

    Have you attended an educational course, grand rounds, or a required specialty training course? In need of CEU's Apply for Category 2 CEUs towards re-certification for conference you attended. The conference must be accredited by another accreditation body to be considered. Please note: Category 2 CEU reviews take between 8-10 weeks to fully process. Applications for events that concluded more than 90 days prior to the date of your submission will not be accepted.
